# Dev, CV Match Score Just Got a Major Upgrade 🎯

We've shipped one of the most requested improvements to SharpAPI's Resume/CV & Job Description Compatibility Scoring endpoint.
You can now tell the scoring engine what matters most for each specific role - and it actually affects the final overall_match score, not just individual metrics. Hiring a fresher? Weight education higher. Remote role? Stop location from penalizing good candidates. Senior tech hire? Put stack match front and center.
On top of that, the engine now automatically credits role-standard credentials even when the job description forgets to list them.
